“It is quite easy to walk in the path that you see clearly that someone has walked in, it gives you a clear way to your destination”
We must never throw away the impact of the fathers in the place of ministry, our nations, academics etc especially people that have laboured profoundly to ensure we have a better life. Their work does one thing: to pave way for others. Academics is one place we know the works of those who have gone ahead can never the neglected because by seeing what they have done, it will give you an assurance that what you’re about to do will work. We must learn to take that too in ministry whereby we are able to recognize the labour of the fathers and then we just enter into their labours. The scripture talks about entering into the labour of others
John 4:38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.
The truth is there are labours to enter into, but if we stay in the place where we don’t want to recognize the people who have actually laboured we may never enter into their labours.
“What you don’t honour you don’t earn or enter into it”
Then we saw that when it comes to faith scriptures says “the steps of Abraham”
Romans 4:12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also WALK IN THE STEPS OF THAT FAITH OF OUR FATHER ABRAHAM, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
When we learn to recognize Abraham’s steps, we can then be able to enter into his steps and then follow it to the end, thereby obtaining the same result of faith. If we are to gain any good result in the ministry, we must learn to constructively look at the steps of those who have gone ahead of us and then use that example for which will produce the same result. Never enter into the field of the fatherless it will amount to no result for you in the ministry.
Proverbs 23:10 Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless:
Scriptures said that we should not remove that old landmarks, heaven recognizes it, they see those labours but only a wise minister will learn how to enter into the field of the fathers and then make due use of their labours in his own ministry and note the above scripture says fields and not just field, so it tells if we can be patient, we shall see many fields to enter into, that is the field of the fathers because if there are fields of the fatherless then there must be the fields of the fathers. One more thing the labour of the fathers help us to do is; it makes us live with the assurance of hope that if God has done this then the same and more can be repeated in our ministry. Now, like the common quote that says you can’t expect to do something the same way and obtain different results then this will be found true by doing that same thing or walk they have committed themselves into, which has become their labour and a field for us to enter into and not obtain the same result. It must be the same! The same Spirit, the same God.
