“Don’t think to give but give to think”

Sowing should be our lifestyle as believers and we need to learn how to sow rightly. We have two ways by which people sow, how we sow determines how we will reap and what we sow tells what we will reap. Often what to sow determines how to sow it. Not all grounds can receive the same seed but that particular seed determines the ground. Apostle Paul said
2 Corinthians  9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

The question then becomes how do you sow sparingly and how do you sow bountifully? The truth is, is not really what you sow but how you sow and how to sow is determined by what to sow. Sowing deals with the heart and the person to whom you sow to. We see the widow who gave little, yet was said to give the best.

Luke  21:1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.

21:2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.

21:3 And he said, OF A TRUTH I SAY UNTO YOU, THAT THIS POOR WIDOW HATH CAST IN MORE THAN THEY ALL:

21:4 For ALL THESE HAVE OF THEIR ABUNDANCE  CAST IN UNTO THE OFFERINGS OF GOD: BUT SHE OF HER PENURY HATH CAST IN ALL THE LIVING THAT SHE HAD.

Is not because she was poor that her offering was accepted but she gave all her living which she had. Her heart was involved in this, she didn’t hold back what she own. Jesus said what she gave was the best and not because she was poor but according to her heart she gave cheerfully. This we see that Paul said

2 Corinthians  9:7 Every man according as he PURPOSETH IN HIS HEART, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

That’s how to give, cheerfully. We will examples of those that gave sparingly and bountifully in the next series.
