One thing we need to be mindful of is the words that comes out from our mouth. If only we know that we have been made like that of the Father through the Son then we will be careful of what we say with our mouth. Now we need to understand that we belong to the family of God where God said of us that we are an heir of God and joint heir with Christ.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD:
8:17 And IF CHILDREN, THEN HEIRS; HEIRS OF GOD, AND JOINT-HEIRS WITH CHRIST; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
The word of God says we are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. Let’s see a little about God with His word and then Jesus with His word so that we can understand our place also with words…
Genesis 1:3 And GOD SAID, Let there be light: and there was light.
You see, God said and what He said came into existence. God didn’t struggle to get it done. He just said and He was not playing with words.
Let’s see Jesus
Mark 11:13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
11:14 And JESUS answered and SAID UNTO IT, NO MAN EAT FRUIT OF THEE HEREAFTER FOR EVER. And his disciples heard it.
11:20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the FIG TREE DRIED UP FROM THE ROOTS.
11:21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
We see Jesus saying no man eat of that tree again and it dried up when they came passing by the tree. Jesus did not struggle with words. To tell you that Jesus understood the place of words as the Son of God, see what He said in the garden of Gethsemane
Luke 22:42 SAYING, FATHER, if thou be willing, REMOVE THIS CUP FROM ME: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
The moment Jesus said that word if He had not changed the word to “but the Father’s will be done” maybe the cup might have been taken away from Him. But thank God He did say that and we saw that thereafter an angel ministered to Him. Jesus understood the place of words and we belong to this family, why should we be careless with our words. I remember a time in church God ministered to my heart about words that I need to watch what I say, reading a book recently by Charles Capps reminded me and then I watch my words.
We saw that Jesus now taught them that you’ll have what you say
Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; HE SHALL HAVE WHATSOEVER HE SAITH.
“Confession is powerful only after the mind and heart chewed and digested the word properly. – Elfrida Onuora”
The Bible says life and death lies in the power of the tongue then I will say what will you rather choose to be saying?
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the POWER OF THE TONGUE: and THEY THAT LOVE IT SHALL EAT THE FRUIT THEREOF.
Proverbs 12:14 A MAN SHALL BE SATISFIED WITH GOOD BY THE FRUIT OF HIS MOUTH: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.
Proverbs 13:2 A man shall EAT GOOD BY THE FRUIT OF HIS MOUTH: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.
And like Jesus said You will have what you say what will you choose to be saying now?!
Talk like God and not like man, be creative with your words with the word of God. Words becomes empty when they are not a reflection of God’s word. Like God committed the naming of animals to Adam, God has done the same to us. There was never a time that God corrected what he named, he has developed a strong and deep fellowship with God to be able to speak like God and God can be pleased. A man that can please God with words is a man that has known his place in Christ Jesus and such us walking with the Lord. Our words becomes evil when it is not mixed with or does not align with God’s word. Any man can wake up to speak anything and it will come to pass because that is inherent in man. But to speak like God and bring things into being is to stay with the Source of life and Light-The Father to speak His mind. Fellowship with God therefore is the prerequisite to make your words to become like God wants it, it enables you to speak the mind of God into state and craft out the intentions and purposes of God.
