“God is in the business of having all men to be saved and we must agree with Him by preaching the word of reconciliation”
I am persuaded in my heart that the Lord will come very soon as He has said and am also persuaded that even as His coming approaches, God is interested and He is in the business of seeing that are men are saved, in fact He said it clearly
1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2:4 WHO WILL HAVE ALL MEN TO BE SAVED, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
God’s desire for all men must be painted to us correctly so that we can understand that the ministry of reconciliation of men to God is a serious business because God does not want any man to perish
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH, BUT THAT ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE.
God is in the business of ALL, and He has every witness in every nation so that man is inexcusable that they did not hear the gospel of Jesus. Moreso there are still nations that the Lord want to make us to be witnesses at by preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in such places. This is what we see that brought about the ministry of reconciliation.
- What’s is Reconciliation?
The meaning of reconciliation is to bring men to God, by having on ground a reconciled means through which provisions are made for men to come to God without having anything to pay for than to come to God. One simple word that clearly tells of reconciliation is the word restoration but for a moment let’s see that ministry of reconciliation, Apostle Paul speaking said
2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and HATH GIVEN TO US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION;
Note two things
- Who(God) hath reconciled us to Himself
- And hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation
What does this means? Clearly that scripture says all things are of God, and then it tells us that God has first reconciled us to Himself, this is by responding to His reconciliation we became reconciled to Him. So it reads Who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ. Now understand this, God is the One we are being reconciled to and the means is by Jesus Christ. I’m sure you get the definition now. To the second thing He hath given unto us the ministry of reconciliation, He has given it to us. Apostle Paul never said God gave it to him but to us as a church. God has committed to us that ministry of reconciliation. Let’s see it in The Living Bible
2 Corinthians 5:18 All these new things are from God who brought us back to himself through what Christ Jesus did. And God has given us the privilege of urging everyone to come into his favor and be reconciled to him.
God has given to us now that ministry of reconciliation whereby we bring men to God, that’s the purpose for men to b brought to God.
- The reconciliation of God through Christ
Reconciliation came by God through Jesus. This is the means by which God takes to have all men back to Himself as many that will believe Him. So we see how God was doing it through Christ, scriptures made it clear that God was the One in Christ restoring the world to Himself and by that calling forth men to Himself by Christ and no longer counting men’s sin against them, how? He took it out of the way by the death of Christ such that when God sees man what He sees is the blood of Christ paid on the cross to reconcile men to Himself even the world.
19 FOR GOD WAS IN CHRIST, restoring the world to himself, no longer counting men’s sins against them but blotting them out. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others.
We see that the ministry of reconciliation lies in telling men that “Come all! God no longer count your sins against you but He has blotted them out through the blood of Christ and He has made you like Him now, all you need to do is to come to Him” when we do this we are reconciling or restoring men back to God. And then we show men that see for yourself from God’s word how He has done.
21 For God took the sinless Christ and poured into him our sins. Then, in exchange, he poured God’s goodness into us!
When we do this men will be reconciled to God, we are His ambassador and we are the means now that God uses to speak these things and it now appears like as God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, now He is in us to speak those things through us like He reconciled men to God in the days of Jesus and this is because the Spirit of Jesus is in us now
20 We are Christ’s ambassadors. God is using us to speak to you: we beg you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, receive the love he offers you—be reconciled to God.
We represent Christ now very clearly to reconcile men to God and the Apostles made it a plead that as though Christ Himself were pleading with you be reconciled to God.
- The restoration of all things
The ministry of reconciliation aligns with the restitution of all things from sin. It is until we get engaged in the ministry of reconciliation that this will quickly come to pass. We must understand that God has committed to us this ministry of reconciliation such as we must tell it to all as we have seen it in the word of God. The death of Christ was to reconcile men to God, let’s see God’s word
Act 3:21 For he must remain in heaven until the FINAL RECOVERY OF ALL THINGS FROM SIN, as prophesied from ancient times. (TLB)
Acts 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. (KJV)
We understand that Jesus will remain in heaven until there is a restitution of all things from sin whereby all will come to God in the name of Jesus. Be involved today in this ministry of reconciliation which is to bring men to God that’s they essence. We are not to preach the message of condemnation that will make men far from God but the message of the ministry of reconciliation that will bring them near to God.
