”Don’t think to give but give to think”
It’s important to know WHEN TO SOW, HOW TO SOW AND WHAT TO SOW. In this series we shall look at a very important part to sowing which is
- WHEN TO SOW
Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
When to sow is what any wise man will ask for. Just like we have that there are some seeds that grow during rain season and there are some that grow during dry season. This tells that different seeds has different seasons. It takes a sensitive farmer to therefore learn when to sow. For me, I will first say it depends on the type of seed you want to so. But you don’t observe the rain or regard the cloud to sow. You just sow.
Ecclesiastes 11:4 He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.
Scriptures is clear about it that if you observe the rain you will not sow and when you give regard to clouds you shall not reap. You can’t reap when you don’t sow. The open scripture points to us that as long the earth remains the time to sow and to harvest will not ceased. It tells you can always sow and keep sowing. Bible says in the morning sow thy seed and the evening do the same.
Ecclesiastes 11:6 In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
You see, you must keep sowing any time any day. You may not tell which will lead to your prosperity. The nature of sowing seeds of money in church should be consistent with us. When you sense a need in church just sow the seed.
Lastly, sow in hard times. Sow when it is not convenient to sow. In the time of plenty and in the time you don’t have much learn to sow. The church in Macedonia is the church that the church need to learn from. They gave even in their deep poverty. For their hands never went down.
2 Corinthians 8:2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
8:3 For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;
Paul was able to bear them record of how they gave to them. Can we be committed to sowing seeds this way? Bible says those that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
In the next series we shall look at HOW TO SOW.
