“Laws of sowing and reaping answers to anybody because it is a law”

We understand that learning the WHEN TO SOW, HOW TO SOW AND WHAT TO SOW is very important in the law of sowing and reaping. We shall then look at

We don’t only need to learn when to sow but we also need how to sow. Again, a farmer does not just sow anyhow by throwing his seeds around. That’s why Jesus used the parable of the sower to help us understand how to sow. There He made it known to us that when a farmer sow on the good ground. He will reap in thirty folds, sixty folds or hundred folds. Even though He used that to explain the place of the word in our heart. The truth is, I have never seen a farmer that cries when he’s going to sow. He rejoices because he understands what that seed will give result to. Someone said you can not tell the number of apples in a seed. Jesus made it so clear to us again that except you throw the seed down it will just stay there in your hand. That is it abide alone. Seeds need to fall down and die for it to grow. That process is called the process of sowing.

We must understand that how we sow is key to how we reap. Every man likes to sow in a fertile ground and we must learn to identify it. Jesus called it good ground. We must find a good ground to sow and then sow there. Now is also important to note that how to sow is linked to our attitudes towards sowing. Paul put it this way.

2 Corinthians  9:6  But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

You see, how to sow is bountifully. The truth, it depends on what you define bountifully to be. It varies for all of us. That’s why Paul said again to give as you purpose in your heart. Farmers have targets of seeds they want to sow. God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians  9:7  Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Don’t sow grudgingly because scriptures said to do all things without murmuring. God loves a cheerful giver. So sow cheerfully for that’s how to sow.

In the next series, we shall look at WHAT TO GIVE.
