A woman in the 1850s who was named Mrs. Colville was a great woman of God, that happened to have dedicated her life so well to God that it was said of her that she had “time and money to spend for God” ministered one day on this topic we are considering. She sow a seed at that time, she went back home thinking the meeting she went for was a failure. Not until later she was in the midst of some women who had a gist on how a man got converted by this same topic that she preached. Who the word has soaked so deeply in his heart that he could not but allow that seed to grow. The man was named James McQuilkin. It’s dearly important to note that everyone need to seek for God.
This topic reminds me of Nicodemus who felt it was not enough on what he has heard and see that the Jesus did but went out by night to seek Jesus. He understood that God was surely with Jesus and then seek to know Him and he was introduced to how to be born again.
John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
3:2 THE SAME CAME TO JESUS BY NIGHT, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
“There must be a time when everyone seek or come to Jesus”
This he sought by seeking for a personal interest in the Lord and he also heard about the new birth. Until man seek out for the Lord personally he made not have the best that he need to know. We need to seek a personal interest in the Lord. I love the word “personal” because salvation is personal. That’s why scripture calls it YOUR OWN SALVATION
Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION with fear and trembling.
It’s personal because when you get it, is yours! Man need to seek out the Lord Jesus personally, when we get this then the Lord Himself will by mercy launch us into the new birth. In new birth you are being launched into Sonship. It gives room for you to be seen of the Father like Jesus. New birth grants you a place in God’s kingdom, which is in the Father. New birth is coming into being born of God. You can not be born of God except you give your life to Jesus. To give your life to Jesus is to believe in Him with your heart and then confess Jesus with your mouth and you will be saved!
