“The power made available in the place of prayers is greater than the man that prayed”
In the last series we considered the truth of God’s word that we need to ask in faith and not with a double mind, for by that we shall not receive anything from God. We also looked at developing our faith through God’s Word. We shall continue this series by looking at
- Your word and the meditation of your heart
We understand that our heart is also our mouth and the truth is, the heart is more louder than the mouth. We only see that the mouth speaks but we must understand that multiples of words are found in the heart and it also speaks. One of the things that brought down Satan was the meditation of his heart which were evil against God. He never uttered those things out of his mouth but he did with his heart and God saw it. That’s why when it comes to prayers the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts must be the same, so we see David says
Psalms 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Never pray in faith and then doubt in your heart, for this is one of the things that affect our receiving in prayers. We have said one thing in faith before God and then leaving prayers our meditation does not align with what we said to God in prayer. You know it is with the heart that we believe and if doubt comes from there then our receiving in prayers will be hindered.
In the next series we shall look at how our disobedience to God’s word affects our receiving in prayers.
