“The power made available in the place of prayers is greater than the man that prayed”

In the last series we looked at how disobeying God’s word will hinder our receiving in the place of prayers especially when we don’t obey God’s word. For if God’s is our Father then we must honour His word. In this series we shall look at

  • Not doing things that are pleasing in His sight

If only we know that we are always in the presence of the Lord, the better for us. It is not until we go to the secret place or we go to the mountains but God indwells and He beholds us, God’s word clearly state that the eyes of the Lord are upon His  people and if His  eyes are upon us, then we must learn to do what is pleasing in His sight as He beholds us.

1 Peter  3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are OVER the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is AGAINST THEM THAT DO EVIL.

The major problem here is, we are not aware that we are always in His presence. The consciousness of living before Him must be in us. For God’s ears to be opened to our prayers we must do righteous or things pleasing in His sight. I’m not sure we can not find a man, who will love to do evil openly when he noticed that his boss is watching but he always want to do what is pleasing before Him. Then we see

1 John  3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

We have been made righteous and therefore we must do righteousness before God, in His sight. Sin hinders our receiving, for God is a righteous God. But when we do things that are pleasing before Him, God will hasten His word to perform it in our lives.
