“Our faith must become such that gives glory to God and a sweet smelling savour before Him”

We must understand that faith life is a commandment and by moving with commandments we enter into obedience and then obedience birth the righteousness of God in us. The Bible spoke about Abraham by saying that through his faith life he gave glory to God, now I see that there is a faith that gives glory to God yet it is still faith. We must therefore come to understanding in the sense that when we walk in this kind of faith we are actually walking in the steps of faith of Abraham as scriptures said

Romans  4:12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also WALK IN THE STEPS OF THAT FAITH OF OUR FATHER ABRAHAM, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

“God want to culture and obedient community and one thing is important which is ability to hear and then do the will” – Rev(Mrs) Helen Oyegoke

Now, as we take this steps of faith we will also get the same result and then attain unto righteousness. Righteousness is always centered around faith, they can never be separated, for that is why through Abraham walk they counted it to him as righteousness.

“Every faith walk is a step unto righteousness”

Let’s see the scripture

Romans  4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:

4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, GIVING GLORY TO GOD;

My friend, Ayo Oliyide stayed on this scriptures for some years and he has been a big blessing to me, I just also see a good part to this scripture.

  • Before Him whom he believed:

Faith is believing that which is being spoken and then you obey” -Rev (Mrs) Helen Oyegoke

Now, scripture makes it clear that there is someone that Abraham believed, even God! Abraham understood the stand of God over his life as Someone Who quickens the dead, that is, to give life to the dead or to make the dead live again, and then call those things that be not as though they are. He also understood that God has the ability and capability to call things like He said let there be light and there was light, by that He called light as though light was, so Abraham understood that about God that He has that ability to call things that be not as though they exist and that God will make him the father of many nations is not and issue with God. We must come to a stay of believing before Him ad make our faith not to shake. In the next series we shall see WHO AGAINST HOPE BELIEVED IN HOPE.
