In the last series we looked at how Abraham staggered not through unbelief but was strong in faith giving glory to God, so we shall end this series by looking at how he gave glory to God.
- How do we give glory to God in the position of faith
“Nothing SHOULD move us to a point whereby our faith life no longer give glory to God”
It’s time to enter into the steps of faith of Abraham as scriptures said, though what we have been considering are also the steps of faith of Abraham. When we look at the scripture where this was said, we see that a semi colon follows it
Romans 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, GIVING GLORY TO GOD;
This we saw that he do
- Being FULLY persuaded
“When it comes to faith it does not requires MANY things from us by one thing”
Romans 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Persuasion is highly needed in our faith walk, we need to be persuaded by God’s word that it can never be broken. Please permit me to say, the ONLY issue that I feel God has is this, EXCEPT He has not spoken but once He has spoken it then it can be trusted upon that He will perform it. So we see that, Abraham was able to link all this demonstration of faith to one thing, which is to be fully persuaded that what God has promised, no matter the deadness of Sarah’s womb and even though physically speaking his body his dead and can no longer perform but because God has spoken it then he can believe it much more than he believed that his body his dead. The truth is this, things will fight faith life in us as believers but we must come to a point where we are FULLY persuaded that God is able to perform what He said. Abraham could no longer perform as a man but he believed that God is able to perform so by faith he launched into the performance of God and then he knew his wife and birth his Isaac. The faith that gives glory to God, is a faith that has moved into a place of being FULLY persuaded. You’re persuaded beyond the reach of no doubt that God that has promised you a thing by His word is able to perform it. The same word was said about Mary because she believed
Luke 1:45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a PERFORMANCE of those things which were told her from the Lord.
“When we walk in faith by believing God then the performance of God’s word will fall to our hand”
God is a “PERFORMER” of His word. God is not man! Job understood this and said God performs things with him and God is the custodian of such things.
Job 23:14 For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.
David also knew this and he said God performs all things to me when I cry to Him.
Psalms 57:2 I will cry unto God most high; unto God that PERFORMETH ALL THINGS FOR ME.
When we come to this level then does our faith gives glory to God. To give glory to God again is to be FULLY persuaded on God’s performance. We must be fully persuaded that God is able to perform His word to us. Faith life is beyond the reach of what we see physically but to move into the things unseen and then judge God to be faithful to His word. Be blessed! Thanks for following this series by reading!
