We understand by the word of God that what heaven is communicating to us is the image and the likeness of God. It was our formation from the beginning. We now understand that Christ is the image we are pressing into and that’s why what must be communicated to us should be the person of Christ so that we can enter into the full image of His Person because He is the image of God.

Colossians  1:15 WHO IS THE IMAGE OF THE INVISIBLE GOD, the firstborn of every creature:

The visibility of the Father is made known by the appearance of the Son. You know there are some sons that look exactly like their father, I am one of such, you’ll have given me the honour you ought to give to my dad before knowing it’s not him but me. Jesus is the reflection of the invisible God so as we see the Son we see the Father in the Son. Amen. We understand again by the word of God that Jesus is the express and exact image of God so there is no place for argument when you see the Son you are sure that this is the way the Father definitely looks.

Hebrews  1:3 WHO BEING THE BRIGHTNESS  OF HIS(GOD) GLORY, AND THE EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

We see very clearly that Jesus is the brightness of God’s glory and the express image of God’s personality. When we make pursing Jesus as our focus we will soon enter into God. The visiblilty of God is seen through the Son so much that when we shall see the Father we will not doubt His Person because we have seen the Son.

“When a man has entered into Christ he has entered into God. Our arrival is in the Father through the Son.”

The Hebrew 1:3 that we read says that Jesus is the brightness of God’s glory, we need to set our gaze on Jesus Christ in other to enter into glory. We can’t enter into the Father without entering into the Son. When we keep beholding the Son we are actually looking at the image of God. There are some images that you naturally look at and they stay in your mind, much more is the image of the Son, we behold the Father’s  image through the Son and we keep our eyes fixed on it and we are changed into the same image, that same image that Jesus bears in the Father. The secret of coming into that image is by beholding the image of God, we do this by entering into the place of prayer and the word where we stay in contact with the Lord as the image of Jesus is being communicated to our hearts then we begin to draw it in by mercy.

2 Corinthians  3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.

The reason we must set our gaze on Jesus is because the glory of God lies in the face of Jesus, so as light is being communicated to us and as we receive light the face of Jesus will be ministered to us so that we can enter into the image of God.

2 Corinthians  4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, TO GIVE THE LIGHT OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE GLORY OF GOD IN THE FACE OF JESUS CHRIST.

“Communication of light brings us into the image of God faster”

One of the things that made God to be invisible is where He dwells, He dwells in light that no man can approach, it will take Jesus to approach where the Father is because no man can come into the Father except by Jesus. The Son is the One that brings to us the Light that the Father is so that as we see Jesus we see the Father that dwells in light that no man can approach but a time will come when we will see Him.

1 Timothy  6:16  WHO ONLY HATH IMMORTALITY, DWELLING IN THE LIGHT WHICH NO MAN CAN APPROACH UNTO; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

As it is it may sound as though as we are walking with God there is no image formed in us, but the truth is, the image of God is formed in us as we respond to the light of God.

“As we walk with God in light images are formed in us”

Scripture says it may not appear like it as we walk with God but the truth is there is a knowing that makes us to know that we shall arrive to be like Him and we will see Him that no man can approach as He is when He appears.

1 John  3:2  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but WE KNOW THAT, WHEN HE SHALL APPEAR, WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM; FOR WE SHALL SEE HIM AS HE IS.

I like you to know that this scripture is not referring to Jesus but the Father because when Jesus walked the earth He was seen, the previous scripture said no man has seen the Father, He won’t remain unapproachable forever but the hope is that when He shall appear we shall see Him as He is, we shall see the invisible God not through the Son any longer but we shall see the Father as He is. The image of God that is been communicated to us will make us behold Him like the Son because we will have developed sight to be able to see the Father. That’s the image of God we are entering into. Our destination is in the Father through the Son. Glory to God!
