I remember a time I asked the Lord the meaning of grace and I realized that Grace means the power of God. I see a dimension in grace that is important for us to see as God’s people which is: in the substance of grace, contained in it is the ability not to sin. If you remember we treated a topic on grace is for the obedience of the faith. We will also see more into this.

Clearly God’s word says

Romans 5:17 For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is GOD’S WONDERFUL GRACE and his gift of righteousness, FOR ALL WHO RECEIVE IT WILL LIVE IN TRIUMPH OVER SIN AND DEATH through this one man, Jesus Christ. (NLT)

Our concern here, is the grace of God for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through Jesus Christ. It is only for those who receive the grace of God. Now Paul said that we have received grace for the obedience of the faith. Faith life ends sin and not to restore it.

Romans  1:5  By whom WE HAVE RECEIVED GRACE and apostleship, FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH among all nations, for his name:

We must keep to mind that the grace we receive terminate sin and death. Receiving the grace of God is a guarantee that we will live in triumph over sin death. Remember, we do not just live in the Spirit, it’s important to walk in the Spirit. This tells that we are not just to live in triumph over sin and death as we receive grace but we need to walk also in triumph above sin.
