“God’s people are the salt of the earth and their absence means a tasteless world”

In a better way today, I had a true meaning of what Jesus said when He said that “you’re the salt of the earth”

Matthew  5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Let me work on your imagination, have you tasted a food that has no salt before? Or a food like rice and stew that they both have no salt? When you taste a food like this, you won’t get the full satisfaction as it were unless you add salt. Do you notice Jesus didn’t say “you’re the salt of the world”? But when it come to light, He said you’re the light of the world.

Matthew  5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

It is the earth that need the salt and not the world. God’s people are to live by nature as salt of the earth, showing a good examplery life before the people by the demonstration of life. The truth is, no food taste excellently good without the required amount of salt, so also are God’s people upon the earth whereby the number of people on earth right now, the church is the adequate amount needed to salt the earth. You’re a salt to this earth, anywhere we find ourselves we must salt the place. Everybody knows when salt is not in the food, the absence of God’s people especially in nature and conduct is the absence of salt in the earth. Salt the earth!
