”Man will inherit Christ not just in his body alone, even in his soul”

In the last series, we looked at the RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD and we discussed that if Jesus had not risen then our faith is vain as scriptures said. We also looked at the truth that, as Jesus was being raised by the power of God, we shall also be raised in like manner. We shall continue this series by looking at

  • THE HOPE OF RESURRECTION

Resurrection is the hope of the dead. That’s why even though we lost some believers, we hope in this that we shall meet again in Christ in the Father. This I because we know that God will raise them up again. Scriptures made it clear to us that this our body will be sown in corruption in death but when it will be raised, it will be raised in incorruption because we are born of the incorruptible seed of the word of life!

1 Corinthians  15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

We also understand that when Jesus shall come, the people that died will be raised in incorruptible and believers that are still in the earth will also be changed. This body will put on immortality, this will give room for the fulfillment of the scriptures for the work that Christ has done against death.

1 Corinthians  15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

We also understand that when He shall appear, we shall be like Him.

1 John  3:2  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Colossians  3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

That’s the hope of resurrection of the dead, when Christ shall come we shall see that we are just like Him and the body we shall wear, is the body of immortality wears, for that’s Who God is. In the next series we shall look at the last principle of the doctrine of Christ which is ETERNAL JUDGMENT.
