“The greatest hindrance to a miracle is reasoning. When God speaks to you don’t get your head in between.” -Pst Segun Obadje
Any need that can not bend or be submitted to the authority of God’s word can not be met by God. We must therefore rely on the sent word to light us up!
Isaiah 9:8 The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.
Jacob was the same man that became Israel. God’s word is that which changes your taste and hunger for the things of God. When God’s word is sent to your need. It changes the whole story because light will come for you. Light from God’s word is what meets our needs.
Prayer is an investment we make in the Spirit to engage God’s word and bring to pass the will of God over our needs. It is therefore important to give attention to obeying the word. Jesus’s mother was the one that knew who Jesus was better and then by fellowship. She understood the place of obeying what Jesus said. I perceive is very possible that Jesus’ mother was humble enough in some cases to come and ask Jesus what to do and how to do it. So by that she was able to tell the servant at Cana what to do when Jesus just utter a word.
John 2:5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
Our needs can only be met in the word and by the word. When we yield to the obedience of God’s word then we reap the obedience of the same. Prayer and the word is good and we must crown it with obedience then our needs shall be met.
