“Wisdom bears up fruit for righteousness”

Wisdom as the name implies is the ability to give a sound judgement about something. The Bible says that wisdom is the principal thing, what it means is that wisdom is the main thing or the source of all things. But the most painful part is that we youths of today are either lagging behind nor moving forward in this aspect of wisdom. We need to acquire that which is more important in life than following things that will produce foolishness in us. We must stay on things that will make us wise even in the knowledge of God.

The wisdom we need is not with us, but it is in God’s custody and we understand that He can give it to us freely.

James  1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

1:7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Proverbs  2:6  For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

You see, God gives wisdom freely and the truth is, man’s idea may seem good in his eyes but it may not be a good idea before God for that’s what matters the most. Some men have acquired some wisdom that is not from God and such wisdom seem right before them but it’s all destruction

Proverbs  14:12  There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

We must therefore seek the wisdom that comes from God that will produce righteousness in us. Our need for wisdom from God is so important, and we understand that wisdom is the gift of God and Bible says every good and perfect gift comes from above

James  1:17  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

We need to enter into God’s wisdom for their lies safety for us. Let’s see some tips in getting the wisdom from God.

  • STUDY AND FOLLOW GOD’S WORD

Make this your priority in all your day-to-day activities to always give attention to God’s word and make God’s word to be your companion in all ramifications of life, by always putting it in your heart, in your mouth and in your heart, this guarantee how we will be guided by God’s wisdom. God’s word reflect truth to us even His wisdom

Proverbs 3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

And we must never forget the word of God and also to ensure we keep to God’s word that we studied

Proverbs  3:1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

Note that this passage further explains the benefits of following God’s word

Proverbs  3:2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

Proverbs  3:4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

  • SEEK THE COUNSEL OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE GONE AHEAD OF YOU.

One of the wise things to do is to always take the position of seeking counsel from the elders and not to keep to what we know, when we seek counsels what we don’t know before becomes open to us. There is nothing like learning from the experience of those who have gone ahead of us especially people who have wealth of experience, like the people that God has placed over our lives.

Proverbs  24:6  For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety

In conclusion, wisdom bears fruit in us when we learn to walk in wisdom or obey wisdom. Wisdom is a Person, wisdom is Who God is, and He is the only wise God.
