“Healing brings glory to God” -Gloria Copeland
One of the things to understand very specifically about healing is the “I will” of God to heal. For me, I have great burden for which why people are not healed. I love to see the people healed. I believe Jesus love to heal the people and we must not push away the teachings of healing.
- The “I will” of God to heal
A leper came to Jesus and the first thing he did was to worship Jesus and then after the worship he sought for the will of Jesus to be healed and he got it!
Matthew 8:2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
8:3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Notice something from his word “if thou wilt…” this man understand that it only takes the will of God for healing to come through. So he sought that will by asking, then he said “…thou can make me clean” the word “clean” here means to make whole or to cleanse by curing. He understands that only the will of God can make him whole or clean. It sounds like this if only you will, Jesus, You can make me whole or clean. Just that if ONLY You will.
The leper’s faith was on if Jesus will and that made Jesus to stretch out His hand and touched him and Jesus made him to know that it’s actually His will to heal him. If healing is God’s will then, it can NEVER be His will to lay sickness on His people, He only did it to His Son and He won’t do that again. He did it so that we might be made whole. We will continue in the next series.
