Often at times we postpone faith works by making some declarations concerning what we are believing God for, we put our faith at work into it by saying “I am believing God for a particular amount of money and I trust that God will give it to me in the next six months” this we do by pushing our faith forward we just postpone it, this is not as if the Lord can not provide it at that moment that we ask, but our faith is not well grounded enough so we shift our expectation or our trust on God to a time that is still far so that by our calculation God would have considered us by having mercy on us at that time. But that’s not true about faith, we can actually trust God for a need now and God will provide it right there for us, often I realize that I limit God with my faith, but a correct understanding of His Word will help my faith life in Him. Why must I postpone what God can do now? When we do this we project in our minds that God is slow and we calculate it like in case He decide not to give answers to our need this month at least five months is enough time for Him to answer us. It’s like we do a guess work “if this month did not work at least the next month, then the sixth mongh”  It’s wrong… The major problem of this is simply unbelief. Scriptures says “Now faith…”

Hebrews  11:1 NOW FAITH is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

“Faith is in the NOW and not in the later”

Our faith in God need to be strong, the task of faith Jesus placed before all of us as believers is that faith of mustard seed, and He said with that we shall move a mountain and when Jesus said mountain He actually said “This mountain” pointing to what was before them the physical mountain.

Matthew  17:20  And JESUS SAID unto them, BECAUSE OF YOUR UNBELIEF: for verily I say unto you, IF YE HAVE FAITH AS A GRAIN OF MUSTARD SEED, YE SHALL SAY UNTO THIS MOUNTAIN, REMOVE HENCE TO YONDER  PLACE; AND IT SHALL REMOVE; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Our major cause is lack of faith in God nothing more. We see what Jesus said here that if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, am sure a mountain in reality was actually before them and that’s why He said “this mountain” He would have said “you shall say to a mountain” but He said “this mountain” so it’s was before them and the Lord said wherever we tell this mountain to move to that’s where it will move to, again I want to believe Jesus was not been figurative here. Even if I don’t have a faith for a thing I won’t reduce the power of God’s word by saying Jesus was being figurative, I’d rather acknowledge though I need God to help me I believe by what He said I can actually move this physical mountain, please let’s not reduce the word of God because of lack of faith.

“Never measure or reduce the word of God to your size of faith, rather measure up your faith to the size of God’s word”

I believe if I follow what Jesus said here I will actually move a physical mountain and it will obey me as the Lord said and He ended that by saying “and nothing shall be impossible unto you”. The thing now is to put my faith to work now to what He said that nothing shall be impossible unto me as I move that particular thing that stands as a mountain in my life that cause me to worry.

What we need to do therfore is to have faith in God even for the now. He has assured us again in His Word that if we shall not doubt in our hearts we shall have what we say or ask Him in the place of prayers.

Mark  11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, HAVE FAITH IN GOD.

11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and SHALL NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART, BUT SHALL BELIEVE THAT THOSE THINGS WHICH HE SAITH SHALL COME TO PASS; HE SHALL HAVE WHATSOEVER HE SAITH.

“Faith begins from the heart”

We see the word shall not doubt in his heart, that’s where faith begins from, when we doubt in our hearts then we lose the power of faith in God. But we can quicken it back by having faith again in our hearts. We don’t need the Lord to increase our faith, God has made available to all men the smallest of all faith that can move the mountains and He didn’t say it takes great faith to do it.

“How you project God in your heart will affect your faith in God”

I believe in a sense we  can operate in this faith and then use it to do what a great faith will do as we may call it. Though we may need to move higher in our walk of faith with God, by having the faith of the Son and Having the faith of God as scriptures called it . But the truth is let’s make use of this faith He has made available to all men now. Hebrew 11 is where faith was defined to us and it begins with now faith, our faith in the Lord should be in the now and not later by postponing it. You can actually say to that need that “I believe now God will provide what I believe Him for, I believe God will change my car now, I believe God will touch my finances now, I believe God will heal me now, I believe right now! Right Now! We must be persuaded like Abraham that what God has said or promised in His word He is able to perform, doing that alone and living by it makes you to have the request already like a title deed.

Romans  4:21  And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, HE WAS ABLE ALSO TO PERFORM.

God is a performing God, let’s not think that God is too slow for us but that He is able to perform what we are believing Him for. Faith is in the now!
