“God is a performer of His word”
God performs His word. Any word He utters, He is always back of His word. He performs it. The truth is people need to know that whatever the Lord said to them, God is not just saying it but He is always ready to perform His word spoken to us. We need to understand that God is one with His word, and the implication to Him not performing His word is that it indicates that God is not true, since He is not true to His word but God is true to His word. Now understand that to get a man’s attention pick him by his word. I remember a time when I waited for my supervisor, he said he will give me a call when he is around, so I waited on his word that he will call but he failed on his part to call me like he said. I told him what he said that he will call him and I was waiting for his call, when I said that he uttered nothing further. God is not man, you can wait on His word, our part is to wait on God’s word, and God’s part is to perform His word. The error that we do make is that we want to perform God’s word for Him because He has not yet moved according to the time we expect, so we feel He is late but that’s not true. God performs His word. Any word that the Lord said to you, wait on it and expect nothing but that He will perform it. Let’s see the scriptures, Solomon said God has performed the words He spoke to his father, David
1 Kings 8:20 AND THE LORD HATH PERFORMED HIS WORD THAT HE SPAKE, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
Let’s see the word the Lord said to his father, David.
1 Chronicles 28:4 Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:
28:5 And of all my sons, (for the LORD hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.
28:6 And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
This we see that the Lord told Solomon afore time
1 Kings 6:12 Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; THEN WILL I PERFORM MY WORD WITH THEE, WHICH I SPAKE UNTO DAVID THY FATHER:
We see that God performed that word to Solomon David’s son and that spans with the time of God. God does not give us His word to wear us out, but rather He gives is word so that we can wait on it.
Scriptures opened us to what happened to Zacharias when he could not believe the word spoken by the Lord through Gabriel and is not just that he didn’t believe the word that his wife will conceive but he couldn’t see how the word could be performed.
Luke 1:18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.
Then we see Gabriel introduced himself and made him dumb until the day the things spoken to him shall be performed
Luke 1:19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.
Luke 1:20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.
Gabriel got angry that “what! How dare you not believe the word that I brought from the Lord, I don’t move unless am sent! Zacharias how dare you?!” I believe Gabriel knew heaven does not joke with God’s word even the angels because they move to do God’s commandments and also to harken to His words
Psalms 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, THAT DO HIS COMMANDMENTS, HEARKENING UNTO THE VOICE OF HIS WORD.
But see what happened between Mary and Elizabeth, as Elizabeth gave a word concerning Mary on how she believed that there shall be a performance of those things spoken to her.
Luke 1:45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a PERFORMANCE OF THOSE THINGS WHICH WERE TOLD HER FROM THE LORD.
Our position of heart therefore towards the word of the Lord to us, should be to believe that there shall be a performance of those things spoken to us from the Lord.
- HOW GOD PERFORMS HIS WORD
Do you know how God performs His Word? Let me show you very quickly, He hasten to perform His word
Jeremiah 1:12 THEN SAID THE LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: FOR I WILL HASTEN MY WORD TO PERFORM IT.
You see that? The Lord said to Jeremiah, I will hasten My word to perform it. God speaks His word to us, then His angels harken to His voice and do His commandments and then God hasten to perform His word. Believeth thou the word of the Lord? He shall hasten His word to perform it for you, for God is a performer of His word.
