“The power made available in the place of prayers is greater than the man that prayed”

  • Taking to the position of prayers where we enter into the realm whereby we fear not our lives

Queen of Scotland said she feared the prayer of John Knox more than all the assembled armies of Europe. When we look at the prayer life of Daniel and that of Esther one thing looks the same especially on the aspect of not being fearful of laws. Esther made a decision that is equal to death whereby her life could end, she told the people to stand in gap with her that she will speak the case of the Jews with the king and she said though there is a law on ground that unless you’re called by the king you can’t come to see the before the king but her stand was for this cause if I perish I perish.

Esther  4:16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.

As leaders, we must enter into prayers for a step to be taken such that if we perish we perish. The decision she made was a serious one and then she said if it means death then I’ll die. I remember Daddy Gbile Akanni said Esther has gained access on her knees before God such that she is able to stand before the king and to plead the case of her people. Our idea does not matter but is our trust towards prayer that matters and that is going before the Lord to receive a divine answer from Him irrespective of the law and we saw that her desire was granted. Now this is, unless we come to a point where we are given only to our knees in prayers, we may never be able to stand to move anything we desire in the open. The secret place of prayers is a place where we enter into prayers and get our request from the Lord coming out with an assurance that our request will be granted.
