“Sins are not meant to be covered but to be blotted out. That’s what grace does”

We must never play with sin, sin deny us of the confidence to approach God’s presence. If you have sinned before even as a believer you’ll understand what am saying. I learn something very early as a teenager, I use to read the account of David especially where he sinned. He won’t cover it up but he will humbly approach God for mercy with cry and with his heart bowed to the Lord. No wonder it is wisdom to know that you don’t cover sin, you expose it! To expose it, is to tell the Lord and then you receive mercy because that’s what you obtain when you confess your sins.

Let me take you to a dimension of the blotting out of sin. What grace does is to blot sin out and not to cover it. When Peter preach after they receive the Holy Ghost and healed the man at Beautiful gate, he said to them that they should repent that their sins may be blotted out.

Acts  3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that YOUR SINS MAY BE BLOTTED OUT, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

To blot out is allow the work of redemption that Christ did which He was yet without sin to be made effectual in your life. It actually means to wipe off permanently that you may not be able to sin. To amputate permanently the ability to keep sinning. We just deceive ourselves a lot when we sin. Never say “grace cover it” because if you say it, you don’t understand what you’re saying.  I’ll say sorry not the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. That’s why the ordinances that were written against us that is the covenant of hell and death that the Devil said (we have a teaching on this, WHY DID JESUS DIE AND ALSO WENT TO HELL  against us were being blotted out!

Colossians  2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was CONTRARY TO US, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

You see, we must learn to repent and confess your sins rather than cover it. Scriptures is clear, a man that covers his sin will not prosper! Is so clear.

Proverbs  28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

You see, we must learn to confess and to forsake our sin in order  to obtain mercy. Now this is it, you should confess your sin to who can forgive you. Confess your sins to God. There was a time we did a teaching on confessing your sins. Please search here on our blog by using our search engine. It’s easy to find.
