“Priests are people that make offerings continually”

The most common word you’ll read in here is the  word “CONTINUAL”. Understanding our priestly stand as a church will help our engagement in the place of prayers and to offer it continuously. Priest in the old times could not continue in that office by reason of death.

Hebrews  7:23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to CONTINUE BY REASON OF DEATH:

“We must access the door of the continuity so that we can further in the course of prayers”

Priest will always be needed because of their function in that office lies on the capacity of continuity. Unless we become praying priest we may not move much in prayers as a church. But we see Jesus Who has been made to continue for us.

Hebrews  7:24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

We need a praying priest who can continue in the place of prayers, offering the prayers of intercession for men until light break open into nations of the earth. A people that will enter in the secret place of prayers securing the results of prayers. We must understand and come into the revelation of Christ Who has become a Priest that continues long for ever even to pray for us.

Hebrews  7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, SEEING HE EVER LIVETH TO MAKE INTERCESSION FOR THEM.

“Even when the lips of a priest that has entered that continual thing in prayers is closed in death his prayers lives before God”

The Bible says Jesus has gone to the heavens to appear for us.

Hebrews  9:24  For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but INTO HEAVEN ITSELF, NOW TO APPEAR IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD FOR US:

What’s He doing as He has gone there to appear for us?

“The ministry of the church basically is to be a praying church”

We see that He sit to make intercession for us because the Bible reveals clearly where He sits and that we are sitter together with Him.

Ephesians  2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

So it tells we must look beside us as we sit at His right hand to do what He  is doing-praying.

“The occupation of the believer is to do what Christ is doing at the right hand of the Father”

We must also do what Christ is doing by praying for men. We are expected to reflect back what He is doing, remember in a place Jesus said “as My  Father as loved Me, so I loved you, so continue in my love”  John 15:9. There is so much in the word continue. We see that indeed Jesus lives to make intercession for us.

Romans  8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, WHO ALSO MAKETH INTERCESSION FOR US.

“The priestly order that we take is after the order of Christ and our belt is to pray like He is doing for us for all men”

A priestly prayer has no selfishness in it, even when he offer sacrifices for himself is so that he will be able to offer sacrifices for others. What does that mean to us, in case we have a sin in our lives we must confess it to the Lord and then pray for the people. And be like the blameless high priest which Christ

Hebrews  7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

This is beause Jesus is not praying for Himself but for us, if we may even pray for ourselves it may be strength to pray for others. One thing is God’s grace is sufficient for us.
